Take a Stand

There was a series of homophobic attacks in social media. The friends of the victim decided that this has to stop. They took it upon themselves to show love, hope and acceptance. They are doing this by producing powerful images and writing about the damage hateful words can do. They show support for everyone, who gets bullied for who they are.

I think Finn Millar said it well in his notecard about this project: "Gay, Straight, Lesbian, Bi or Transgendered, we are all feeling people. No one deserves to be bullied this way. "

There is a group in Flickr where you are welcome to share your own messages. Take a stand with us against hate, against bullying. Spread healing words and images. This will show those who need to see it, that they are not alone and that we do not let our friends get bullied. You can post your images in your blog, in your own image sharing pages, anywhere and everywhere in social media. Make them into posters to put up in your home or business, where ever you wish.

The Flickr group is here. Please note that some of the content in the group is adult in nature.

(This project did not originate in our blog, so rather use the Flickr group as a source when writing about it, so that the credit goes to whom it belongs to, thank you).

Here is what we came up with for the Heimo contribution to this project.
